JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested early Thursday after police say he interfered with officers responding to a domestic incident.
Officers were in the area of E. 8th Street and Lakeview Avenue at about 1:37 a.m. on April 8 when they observed a physical domestic incident occurring on the sidewalk, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Police intervened and Marc A. Staples Jr. attempted to physically interfere with officers, police said.
He refused officers’ commands and pulled away from officers while they attempted to place him into custody, according to police.
After a brief struggle, Staples was placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, police said.
He was held pending arraignment on charges of disorderly conduct, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree and resisting arrest.
