GREECE, NY — Police arrested a man following an assault in a parking lot on Mt. Read Boulevard on April 7, 2026.
Officers responded to the area of 3701 Mt. Read Boulevard at approximately 8:06 p.m. for a report of an assault.
An adult victim told police he was struck by a vehicle while walking in a parking lot following a verbal dispute.
The suspect then followed the victim into a nearby business, where he allegedly struck the victim multiple times with a pipe, according to police.
Store security personnel intervened and escorted the suspect from the premises.
Officers reviewed security footage, which provided information leading them to a nearby residence.
Police responded to that address and located the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect admitted to his involvement in the altercation, police said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where statements were obtained.
Willie Baker, 28, of Greece, has been charged with assault in the second degree.
He was processed and transported to the Monroe County Jail for centralized arraignment.
