STATEN ISLAND, NY — A man was arrested on felony charges after a traffic stop revealed he was driving a stolen vehicle.
Troopers from Troop NYC, SP Staten Island, arrested Corey D. Almon, 38, of Staten Island, on April 6, 2026.
A trooper stopped a Dodge Durango for vehicle and traffic law violations while patrolling in the vicinity of Crystal Avenue and College Avenue.
During a roadside investigation, the trooper determined that the vehicle was stolen.
Almon was placed into custody and transported to the NYPD 121 Precinct for processing.
He was later transported to Staten Island Central Booking for arraignment.
Almon was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, and illegal possession of a vehicle identification number, a class E felony.
