Man arrested on criminal contempt charge in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested after police responded to a domestic dispute in progress in the middle of a street on the city’s southside.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s First Platoon responded to the area around 9:52 a.m. April 5.

Upon arrival, officers located Christopher E. Dellahoy, 37, in the presence of the victim.

Officers were aware of a valid stay away order of protection against Dellahoy protecting the victim.

As Dellahoy observed officers approaching, he began to flee on his bike but stopped shortly after and was taken into custody without incident.

Dellahoy was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he is held pending arraignment on the charge of criminal contempt in the second degree.
