Two arrested on burglary charge in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — Officers arrested two suspects following a burglary in progress on April 5, 2026.

Police were dispatched to a residence on Buffalo Street at 1:35 p.m. for a report of a burglary in progress.

The victim told officers that two suspects had fled from the scene.

Officers located the two individuals a short distance away and took both into custody without incident.

The first suspect was identified as Steven L. Osborne, 19, of Jamestown.

The second suspect was identified as a 17-year-old juvenile from Hamburg, New York.

Osborne was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he was charged with criminal trespass in the third degree.

The juvenile was transported to the police station, turned over to another party, and will be charged at a later time.
