Man arrested on drug charges in New Milford

HACKENSACK, NJ — A New Milford man faces multiple drug charges following a narcotics investigation by the Hackensack Police Department.

Roy C. Theodore, 39, was arrested April 1, 2026, after members of the Crime Suppression Bureau executed a search warrant at his New Milford apartment.

The search warrant was authorized by Bergen County Superior Court.

Police seized a quantity of crack cocaine packaged for street-level sales, approximately $18,200 in suspected drug proceeds and a narcotics manufacturing operation, according to a statement from the department.

Theodore was charged with maintaining or operating a controlled dangerous substance production facility, a first-degree offense; manufacturing, distributing or possession with intent to distribute, a third-degree offense; financial facilitation of criminal activity, a third-degree offense; and distribute, dispense or possess with intent to distribute or manufacture, a fourth-degree offense.

He was processed and transported to the Bergen County Jail on a complaint warrant pending his initial appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.

The investigation was conducted under the direction of Chief Michael Antista.

The Hackensack Police Department Emergency Service Unit assisted in executing the search warrant.

The New Milford and Teaneck police departments also assisted in the investigation.
