MOIRA, NY — New York State Police charged a Massena man with criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged a vehicle with a tow chain.
Daniel P. LaPage, 25, of Massena, was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree for intentionally damaging another person’s property in an amount exceeding $250.
Troopers responded to State Route 11 in the town of Moira at approximately 12:37 p.m. on March 29, 2026, for a report of a property retrieval.
An investigation determined that LaPage had retrieved his belongings from the location.
While leaving, he exited the vehicle, approached an unoccupied 2012 Buick, and intentionally struck the rear window with a metal tow chain, causing damage.
LaPage was arrested and transported to SP Malone for processing.
He was subsequently released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Moira Court at a later date in April.
