Man arrested on assault, menacing charges in Potter

POTTER, NY — A 68-year-old man was arrested following a domestic incident Saturday afternoon.

Leland P. Fenner, of Potter, was charged with attempted assault in the second degree, a class E felony, and menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

The charges stem from an incident in which Fenner is accused of striking a victim with a dangerous instrument, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene at 2:27 p.m.

Fenner was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Potter Town Court on April 10 at 9 a.m.

Deputy Presher, Deputy Spaulding, Deputy Skelly and Sgt. Chisom responded to the scene.

Middlesex Ambulance also responded to the incident.
