Criminal mischief reported at church in Hepburn Township

HEPBURN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police are investigating criminal mischief at a church parking lot after surveillance video captured a vehicle spinning donuts and causing damage to the property.

The incident occurred at 4:18 p.m. March 23, 2026, at a church located on Academy Road, according to the Lycoming Regional Police Department.

The vehicle threw gravel around the parking lot and left marks on the ground, police said.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and identified the individual responsible for the damage.

The suspect will face criminal charges and will be required to pay restitution for repairs to the damaged area of the parking lot, police said.

Police said criminal mischief and trespassing charges can range from a summary offense to a felony, with most cases classified as misdemeanors.

Penalties can include monetary fines, restitution and a criminal record.

The Lycoming Regional Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the department or submit a tip.
