BATAVIA, NY — A 24-year-old man was arrested March 17 after allegedly threatening another person with a knife and stealing their dog during a domestic incident on Ellicott Street.
Thomas F. Hofmeier, of Batavia, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree, criminal contempt 2nd degree, menacing 2nd degree and petit larceny.
Hofmeier was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail.
The dog was later located and returned.

BATAVIA, NY — A 20-year-old man was arrested March 13 after allegedly slapping another person in violation of an order of protection.
Jesse J. Kessens, of Batavia, was charged with criminal contempt 1st degree and harassment 2nd degree.
He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of bail.

BATAVIA, NY — A 19-year-old woman was arrested March 11 after allegedly stealing numerous lottery tickets while working at the Speedway gas station on West Main Street.
Elizabeth N. Jones, of Batavia, was charged with petit larceny, criminal mischief 4th degree, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration 2nd degree.
Jones allegedly resisted arrest and damaged property while being taken into custody.
She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court March 24.

Diana T. Bueno, of Batavia, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
She was issued several traffic tickets and is due to appear in court March 25.

She was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

She was allegedly found in possession of narcotics while being arrested on an unrelated warrant.
She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court March 31.
