YORK, NY — Two Livingston County residents face felony and misdemeanor charges following a traffic stop and brief pursuit June 6.
Deputy Vincent Molisani attempted to stop a vehicle on River Road at approximately 8:05 p.m. after observing traffic violations.
The vehicle failed to stop and attempted to flee before pulling into a residence on Main Street after a short pursuit.
Deputies took the driver and a passenger into custody at the residence.
The driver was identified as Cameron Velazquez, 34, of Mt. Morris.
The passenger was identified as Amber Torregrossa, 49, of York.
Torregrossa was charged with felony tampering with physical evidence, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree.
Velazquez was charged with unlawful fleeing in the third degree, criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree and traffic violations.
Both were transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
They were arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part before Town of Caledonia Justice Mackay.
Both were released on their own recognizance as the offenses do not qualify for bail under the state Bail Reform Act.
