Man arrested on drug charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — Police arrested a man on drug charges June 5, 2026, after observing him walking in the downtown area.

Officers on a G.I.V.E. Detail spotted Askiaa K. Faison at about 6:08 p.m., according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Faison had an active parole warrant, and officers attempted to stop him.

He refused to follow officers’ orders but was taken into custody shortly after.

Officers found Faison in possession of 10.5 grams of methamphetamine and several types of drug paraphernalia.

Faison was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.

He faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree.
