Man arrested on domestic charges in Palmyra

PALMYRA, NY — Police arrested a 39-year-old man following a domestic incident on June 4, 2026.

Dekaus L. Thomas, of Palmyra, was taken into custody after an investigation by the Village of Palmyra Police Department.

Police said Thomas allegedly restrained his girlfriend during an argument by physically restricting her movement within the residence.

During the same incident, Thomas allegedly picked up and smashed the victim’s television, according to police.

Thomas was charged with unlawful imprisonment in the second degree and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.

He was transported to the Wayne County Centralized Arraignment Part Court for arraignment.
