BATH, NY — A woman was arrested on a felony charge after police say she violated an order of protection.
Amanda Smith, 34, of Bath, was arrested June 4 on a charge of criminal contempt in the first degree, a class E felony.
Police said Smith was observed sitting on a bench in Pulteney Square Park next to the protected party of a full stay away order of protection at approximately 8:50 p.m.
Smith has previously been convicted of criminal contempt in the second degree, according to police.
Smith was processed on her charge and transported to the Steuben County Jail where she was released at arraignment.
