Man arrested on weapon, menacing charges in Hornell

HORNELL, NY — A 36-year-old man was arrested on weapon and menacing charges following a disturbance investigation.

Jeffery M. Pringle, of Hornell, was taken into custody without incident on May 13, 2026.

The City of Hornell Police Department responded to Myrtle Avenue for a reported disturbance.

While officers were investigating the incident, it was reported that on May 9, 2026, Pringle had allegedly threatened a victim with a blunt object.

Pringle was charged with menacing in the second degree, a misdemeanor, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a felony.

He was transported to the Steuben County Jail for centralized arraignment.
