PREBLE — A passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries when a vehicle lost control on wet Interstate 81 and struck a tree on July 31 at 8:32 a.m.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office said the driver was traveling southbound near the 62 mile marker when he lost control due to wet road conditions.
The vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Fire personnel extricated both occupants from the vehicle.
The driver was uninjured while the passenger was transported to University Hospital in Syracuse by TLC Ambulance.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Tully Fire Department, Homer Fire Department, Preble Fire Department, TLC Ambulance, New York State Police, the New York State Department of Transportation and Clukey’s Garage.
