Driver suffers life-threatening injuries in Waitsfield rollover crash

WAITSFIELD — A 20-year-old Warren man suffered life-threatening injuries when his pickup truck rolled over on Vermont Route 100 early Saturday morning.

Dasan Dowsey was driving a 2008 Ford Ranger when he departed the roadway near Airport Road at approximately 6:01 a.m., according to Vermont State Police.

The vehicle overturned and was totaled in the crash.

Dowsey was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Police responded to the single-vehicle crash after receiving reports that the operator had been located away from the scene.

Mad River Ambulance and Waitsfield Fire Department also responded to the incident.

Dowsey was initially transported to Central Vermont Medical Center and later transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center for treatment.

Weather conditions were clear and roads were dry at the time of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by Vermont State Police.
