20-year-old injured in East Fairfield crash after vehicle hits electrical poles

EAST FAIRFIELD — A 20-year-old woman sustained suspected major injuries Thursday afternoon when her vehicle left the roadway and struck two electrical poles.

Brianna Mansfield of Enosburg Falls was driving a 2020 Acura RDX on Fairfield Road at the junction of Will George Road at approximately 3:25 p.m. July 24 when the crash occurred.

The vehicle left the roadway and hit the electrical poles before coming to rest in a field, according to Vermont State Police.

Mansfield was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported to University of Vermont Medical Center.

The vehicle was totaled in the crash.

Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the incident.

The crash remains under investigation.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by Fairfax Fire Department and Fairfax Rescue.
