Lyndonville man arrested on assault, stalking charges

LYNDONVILLE — A 20-year-old East Concord man was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and stalking following an incident at a convenience store.

Nathan S. May was taken into custody after Lyndonville police received a complaint regarding an assault at Jiffy Mart at 78 Broad St. on July 22 at 4:56 p.m.

Police said May assaulted Daquan Lowery, 19, of St. Johnsbury, causing serious bodily injury.

Lowery was transported by private vehicle to Northeast Vermont Regional Hospital.

May was located at a residence in East Concord and arrested.

He was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash or surety.

May is scheduled to be arraigned on July 23 at 12:30 p.m. in Caledonia Superior Court.

Police also cited May in connection with a separate incident that occurred June 19 at 5:20 p.m. at Subway restaurant at 101 Depot St.

Officers said May threw an unknown liquid onto a 17-year-old female employee who was on break.

May was cited on a charge of aggravated disorderly conduct and is scheduled to appear in court on the same date.
