Woman arrested on DUI, drug possession charges in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 42-year-old woman was arrested on DUI and drug possession charges after troopers received reports of erratic driving on U.S. Route 5 on July 11.

Brooke Rowell of Waterford was taken into custody at 3:44 p.m. after Vermont State Police troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks located her vehicle following reports that it was being operated erratically and was headed toward Lyndonville.

Troopers detected indicators of impairment while speaking with Rowell, according to police.

During a search incident to arrest, Rowell was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, police said.

She was transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

Rowell was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Sept. 8 at 8:30 a.m.
