BROWNINGTON — A head-on collision on Hinman Settler Road near Moulton Lane sent two people to the hospital July 4 at approximately 11:13 a.m.
John Ritchie III, 35, of Milton, was driving a 2010 Toyota Tundra when he crossed into the opposite lane and struck a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Chris Bowen, 45, of Brownington, according to Vermont State Police.
Ritchie, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained severe but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to North Country Hospital.
Bowen, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized.
Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the accident.
