Royalton woman arrested on warrant during traffic stop

ROYALTON — Vermont State Police arrested a 43-year-old woman on an outstanding warrant during a routine traffic stop June 30.

Troopers from the Royalton Barracks conducted the motor vehicle stop on Vermont Route 14 at Russ Hill Road.

A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Tina M. Ashley of Royalton.

Ashley was found to have an active in-state misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear.

She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.

Ashley was also found to be in possession of prescription medication that belonged to another person.

She was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court Criminal Division on July 1 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to a disorderly conduct charge.

Ashley was also issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Superior Court Criminal Division on Sept. 2 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the possession charge.
