Man arrested on DUI charge after found asleep in vehicle in Lyndon

LYNDON — Vermont State Police arrested a 26-year-old Sheffield man on a DUI charge after finding him asleep in his vehicle early Saturday morning.

Troopers responded to Chamberlain Bridge Road at approximately 1:25 a.m. June 28 for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle parked at a stop sign with the operator asleep inside.

The operator was identified as Cody Drown, 26, of Sheffield.

Investigation revealed that Drown had operated under the influence, police said.

Drown was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks for processing.

He was later released on a citation to appear in court.
