Portlandville man arrested on bench warrant, traffic violations in Milford

MILFORD — A 33-year-old Portlandville man was arrested June 29 on a bench warrant and multiple traffic violations following a traffic stop.

Alan M. Lightaul was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, unlicensed operator, improper plates, unregistered motor vehicle, operating without insurance and operating against interlock restrictions, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest occurred during a traffic stop in the Town of Milford.

An investigation revealed Lightaul had a suspended New York State driver’s license and several Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

Deputies also discovered Lightaul had an active bench warrant through the New York State Police.

Lightaul was issued uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket for Milford Town Court.

He was turned over to the New York State Police.
