Driver arrested on suspicion of DUI-drugs in Derby

DERBY — Vermont State Police arrested a 35-year-old Newport woman on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after finding her slumped over in a vehicle Tuesday morning.

Police were notified at approximately 9:25 a.m. June 24 about two people slumped over in a vehicle in a parking lot on Shattuck Hill Road.

State Police identified the operator as Skylar Bergeron.

During the investigation, troopers observed Bergeron to have indicators of impairment.

Bergeron was arrested for suspicion of DUI-drugs and transported to the Derby Barracks for processing.

She was later issued a citation to appear in court.
