SALEM — Police are asking residents to check security cameras after a suspect broke into multiple unlocked vehicles in several neighborhoods Tuesday morning.
The break-ins occurred in the early morning hours of June 17 in the Williams, Shepard, Ackerman and Garrison neighborhoods, according to the Salem Police Department.
Police said the suspect targeted unlocked cars and vehicles with valuables left inside.
Investigators are seeking photos, video or information about the incidents and are asking residents to review camera footage showing the suspect both with and without a backpack.
Police reminded residents to lock their car doors and remove valuables from vehicles.
