Portsmouth man arrested after knife threat at Dunkin’ Donuts

PORTSMOUTH — A 52-year-old Portsmouth man was arrested June 15 after allegedly threatening another man with a knife in a Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot.

Police officers and K9 Frankie responded to the restaurant at 802 Lafayette Road around 7 p.m. for a report of criminal threatening with a knife.

Initial information indicated there was an altercation that resulted in a male threatening another male with a knife.

Units quickly arrived in the area, but the suspect had fled.

Officers subsequently located the male suspect nearby who was identified as David Wright of Portsmouth.

Wright was taken safely into custody and charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.

Wright was held at the Rockingham County Jail with a next day arraignment.
