BRATTLEBORO — A man was arrested Monday in connection with a burglary at Lipton Mart on Canal Street.
Brattleboro Police responded to a burglary alarm at the store at approximately 1:26 a.m. Monday.
Officers found that a suspect had broken the glass of a door to gain entry to the store.
The suspect stole a large amount of merchandise and fled before police arrived.
Police used surveillance video to identify the suspect as Kaanan H. Kain.
Kain was arrested later Monday and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department.
He was held on $1,000 bail.
Kain was scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court on Tuesday.
