CONCORD — Three people were arrested June 17 after refusing to leave a committee room in the state Legislative Office Building past business hours.
New Hampshire State Police said the arrests occurred just before 4:30 p.m. when troopers responded to assist the State House Security Unit at 33 N. State Street.
Security personnel encountered three people who had attended an earlier meeting in the committee room and were refusing to leave as staff tried to secure the building at the end of the day.
Troopers and security unit members asked the individuals to leave numerous times, according to police.
Despite repeated warnings that they would be arrested, the group refused to leave the room inside the closed facility, police said.
The three individuals were taken into custody without incident.
Police identified those arrested as Sarah Chapman, 44, of Nottingham; Juliana Good, 25, of Newmarket; and Lisa Beaudoin, 54, of Concord.
Each was charged with one count of disorderly conduct and released on personal recognizance bail.
They are scheduled to appear in Concord District Court on Aug. 8.
