LONDONDERRY — A Londonderry Police officer on patrol came upon a three-car motor vehicle accident on Route 102 just west of High Range Road at approximately 7:10 p.m. June 16.

The officer immediately notified dispatch that two drivers had sustained injuries, one of whom was entrapped in her vehicle.

The Londonderry Fire Department and additional LPD units were immediately requested to respond.

Fire Department personnel extricated the entrapped driver, who was then transported to Elliot Hospital with potential life-threatening injuries.

A second injured driver was transported to Parkland Medical Center for evaluation.

The third driver involved was assessed on scene and did not require transport to a medical facility.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2014 Toyota Prius traveling westbound on Route 102 crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 2024 Ford Edge.

The Prius was then struck by a 2024 Nissan Frontier, also traveling eastbound.

Route 102 was closed for an extended period while the Londonderry Police Department conducted an on-scene investigation.
