Guilford man arrested for violating abuse prevention order

GUILFORD — Vermont State Police arrested a 58-year-old Guilford man Monday evening for allegedly violating an abuse prevention order.

Fredrick Habich was taken into custody at approximately 5:50 p.m. after troopers received a report of the violation in Windham County.

Through investigation, police determined that Habich had violated an active Relief from Abuse Order.

Habich was transported to the Westminster Barracks for processing.

He was released with a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court-Windham Criminal Division on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charge.
