Bomb threat prompts evacuation at Milton elementary school

MILTON — Milton Elementary School was evacuated Thursday morning after police received a bomb threat at 8:23 a.m.

Students, faculty and staff were moved to the high school as a precautionary measure.

The New Hampshire State Police Bomb Squad K-9 Team conducted a comprehensive search of the school property and surrounding areas.

No suspicious packages or explosives were found.

Milton Fire and Rescue, New Hampshire State Police and the Middleton Police Department assisted in the response.

Students returned to the school and classes resumed normal operations.
