Halfmoon man arrested on felony criminal mischief charge

HALFMOON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 22-year-old man Tuesday evening following a disturbance call on Sitterly Road.

Deputies responded to 40 Sitterly Road at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of a disturbance.

Jonathan C. Lasure of Halfmoon was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, a class E felony.

Lasure is accused of intentionally damaging property belonging to another person in an amount exceeding $250.

He allegedly smashed two mirrors and a television during the incident.

Lasure was arraigned before the Honorable Joseph V. Fodera in Halfmoon Town Court.

He was released on his own recognizance pending further court proceedings.

The criminal mischief charge is not a qualifying offense for setting bail under New York state law that took effect in January 2020.
