DANVILLE — A 62-year-old Auburn, Maine man was cited for excessive speed after being clocked at 92 mph in a 50 mph zone on U.S. Route 2 Sunday evening.
Vermont State Police were conducting speed enforcement on U.S. Route 2 when troopers stopped a Polaris Slingshot near Penny Lane at 5:29 p.m. June 8.
The operator was identified as George Gamelin Jr.
Gamelin was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
He was released on a citation and is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on July 21.
