WESTBROOK — Detective Evan Haskell of the Westbrook Police Department has received the Criminal Investigations Award for his work on a commercial burglary case.
Haskell investigated a burglary at a commercial establishment that occurred in October.
The detective pieced together evidence from several jurisdictions during his investigation.
Officers obtained a search warrant and searched the suspect, his vehicle and residence.
The suspect was arrested and charged with burglary as a result of the investigation.
Evidence obtained during the investigation helped other jurisdictions charge the suspect for burglaries in their communities.
The case demonstrated Haskell’s ability to work across jurisdictional lines while assisting other agencies with their investigations, according to the police department.
