Windsor man charged with cocaine sales in drug task force investigation

WINDSOR — A 35-year-old Windsor man has been charged with two counts of cocaine sales following a months-long investigation by the Vermont State Police Drug Task Force.

Joshua J. Morse was arrested Friday as part of an ongoing investigation into narcotics distribution in the Windsor area.

The investigation focused on the distribution of fentanyl and cocaine from 9 Durkee St. in Windsor, according to police.

Detectives used a confidential informant who purchased cocaine from Morse on two occasions during the investigation.

Morse is currently incarcerated at Southern State Correctional Facility on unrelated charges.

The Windsor County State’s Attorney’s Office did not request bail or conditions due to his incarceration status.

Morse was issued a citation to appear at 8:30 a.m. July 1 before the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in Windsor County.

He is charged with sale of cocaine, a violation of Title 18 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated Section 4231(b)(1).

The Vermont Drug Task Force thanked the Windsor Police Department for its assistance in the investigation.

Morse is being prosecuted by the Windsor County State’s Attorney’s Office.
