SALEM — Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man who allegedly used homemade poker chips at Chasers Poker.

The Salem Police Department said the suspect passed off fake poker chips as real ones at the establishment.

Police said the incident could constitute fraud or theft by deception.

The department described the man as a “creative fraudster” and suggested he may have crafting experience, possibly from pottery classes, paint and sip parties or other crafting activities.

Officers determined the poker chips were fake despite their appearance.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to contact Officer Greeley at 603-893-1911 or Mgreeley@salemnh.gov.
