LINCOLN — Officers responded to multiple reports of car breaks and one stolen vehicle in the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 28.

The incidents resemble those reported on May 17 and 24, when several car breaks occurred in Lincoln and nearby communities.

Thieves targeted only unlocked vehicles, leaving locked cars untouched.

The Lincoln Police Department is working with neighboring law enforcement agencies to investigate the crimes.

Similar incidents have been reported in Wayland, Weston, Watertown, Waltham, Wellesley, Needham, Arlington, Lexington and Reading.

Authorities urge residents and visitors to lock their vehicles and remove valuables from plain sight.

They also advise removing ignition keys or fobs when vehicles are unattended.
