Couple arrested for lewd acts in Salem Boys & Girls Club parking lot

SALEM — Two people were arrested Saturday after allegedly engaging in lewd acts in the parking lot of the Boys & Girls Club while children were present, police said.

Salem police responded to the Geremonty Drive location at approximately 6:25 p.m. after receiving reports of two individuals engaged in sexual activity in public view.

An officer witnessed the activity, which occurred while the club was open and hosting an event, according to police.

Joseph Perreault, 46, of New Ipswich, and Brittany Aho, 39, of Lyndeborough, were arrested at the scene.

Police said both suspects were uncooperative during their arrests, and children under the age of 16 had witnessed the activity.

Perreault allegedly assaulted a police officer during the booking process at the police department.

Both suspects were held without bail at the Rockingham County Jail and scheduled for arraignment Monday morning in Salem District Court.

Perreault faces multiple charges including indecent exposure with a child under 16 present, resisting arrest, simple assault on a police officer, driving after suspension for DUI, and operating a vehicle without a required alcohol interlock device.

Aho was charged with indecent exposure with a child under 16 present, indecent exposure/gross lewdness, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
