LYNDON — Two vehicles were declared total losses following a collision at the intersection of Main Street and Lynburke Road on Sunday, May 25, at approximately 6:07 p.m.
Vermont State Police responded to the two-vehicle crash to find one vehicle with significant front-end damage and another overturned on its side with major damage to the passenger side.
Cody Newland, 26, of Lyndon, driving a 2019 Ford truck, and Curtis Swister, 27, of St. Johnsbury, operating a 2019 Dodge Ram, were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
Both drivers were evaluated at the scene and reported no serious injuries.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Newland failed to obey a traffic signal, leading to the collision.
A traffic citation was issued at the scene for violation of Traffic Control Signal under Title 23 VSA 1022.
The roadway was temporarily affected while emergency personnel responded and cleared the scene.
