Man arrested for DUI after 3-car crash on I-89 exit ramp in Colchester

COLCHESTER — The Vermont State Police arrested a Connecticut man for driving under the influence following a three-car crash on Interstate 89 North at the Exit 17 off ramp on May 24.

Doron Antrim, 66, of East Haddam, Connecticut, was operating a Ford F-350 towing a boat when he failed to yield to traffic stopped at a red light, causing a rear-end collision at approximately 2:25 p.m.

Troopers responding to the minor crash detected several indicators of impairment while speaking with Antrim.

Following a roadside investigation, Antrim was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.

Antrim was later transferred to Northwest Correctional Facility for detox.

He was issued a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court to answer to the charge of DUI #1.
