NEWPORT CENTER — Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of automotive parts from a Newport Center residence Friday evening.
Police responded to a call at approximately 7:56 p.m. from Michael Breault, 71, who reported that two men had stolen multiple brake pad rotors from his property on Vermont Route 100.
According to the police report, the suspects fled the scene in a black truck pulling a black dump trailer.
Witnesses observed a woman and child also inside the vehicle, which was last seen heading south on Vermont Route 14.
The suspects remain unidentified, and state police are actively investigating the petit larceny case.
