Meat stolen from freezer at Derby home

DERBY — The Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of approximately 100 pounds of butchered meat from an elderly resident’s home on Nelson Hill Road.

Alicia Letourneau, 83, reported that butchered and wrapped beef, along with various other meats, were stolen from a freezer on her property.

The theft is believed to have occurred between the night of May 22 and the morning of May 23.

Troopers from the Derby Barracks are handling the investigation.
