Williston man faces second DUI charge after traffic stop

WILLISTON — A 76-year-old Hinesburg man was arrested and charged with his second DUI offense following a traffic stop on Interstate 89 North in Williston.

Vermont State Police stopped Floyd Wood at approximately 3:57 p.m. on May 20 near mile marker 83.6 after observing a moving violation.

Troopers detected signs of impairment while speaking with Wood and discovered open containers of alcohol in his vehicle.

Wood was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks for processing.

After processing, Wood was released with a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on June 10 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge of DUI #2.
