Brattleboro police make six arrests over weekend

BRATTLEBORO — Six individuals were arrested by Brattleboro police in separate incidents between Friday and Monday, according to a department press release.

On Friday at 9:05 a.m., officers responded to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for a disturbance, resulting in the arrest of Shannon Mylott, 26, of Brattleboro for violation of conditions of release.

Julie Engstrom, 42, of Greenfield, Massachusetts, was arrested Saturday following a trespassing complaint at a residence on Edward Heights and charged with disorderly conduct.

Also on Saturday, officers on patrol encountered Jodee Jernigan, 41, of Barre City on Kyle Road and discovered she had an active arrest warrant.

She was held on $200 bail.

Caden Wood, 21, of Brattleboro was arrested Saturday in connection with an April 28 incident at a Canal Street business.

Wood faces charges of lewd and lascivious conduct.

On Monday, officers arrested Kaanan Kain, 35, of Brattleboro at the Brattleboro Transportation Center on an active warrant.

He was held on $50 bail.

Shane Demrest, 47, of Pownal was arrested Monday following a disturbance at a South Street residence.

He was charged with second-degree aggravated domestic assault and interference with access to emergency services, and held on $1,000 bail.

All six individuals were scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court.
