Driver arrested for DUI after St. George Road crash in Williston

WILLISTON — A Winooski man faces DUI charges following a two-vehicle collision on St. George Road near Hurricane Lane Friday afternoon.

Joseph Boucher, 62, was arrested after Vermont State Police responded to assist the Williston Police Department with the crash at approximately 6:28 p.m. on April 25.

According to investigators, Boucher was exiting a parking lot in his 2017 Kia Optima and attempting to turn south onto St. George Road when he collided with a 2005 Chevy Silverado already in traffic.

The Silverado was driven by an 18-year-old Williston resident.

Troopers detected signs of impairment while speaking with Boucher at the scene.

No injuries were reported in the crash, and both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Boucher was transported to the Williston Barracks for processing and issued a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on May 29 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge of DUI, first offense.

Both vehicles sustained front-end damage in the collision.
