JAMAICA — Vermont State Police arrested a Burlington man Saturday after he allegedly crashed his vehicle and fled the scene in Jamaica.
Matthew Rudavsky, 43, faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident and criminal refusal following the incident that occurred around 4:36 p.m.
Police responded to a report of suspicious activity in Jamaica and discovered Rudavsky had crashed his vehicle, causing property damage before leaving without notifying authorities.
Officers later located Rudavsky, who was suspected of being under the influence of intoxicants while operating his vehicle.
Rudavsky was transported to the Westminster Barracks for processing and subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility for detox.
He is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division on May 20 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charges.
