FERRISBURGH — A Vergennes man faces charges after allegedly fleeing from Vermont State Police during an attempted traffic stop earlier this month.
Isaac L. Fleming, 45, was identified as the driver who failed to stop for troopers on U.S. Route 7 near Stage Road on April 19 at approximately 1:20 a.m., according to police.
Authorities say they attempted to pull Fleming over after observing multiple motor vehicle violations.
Instead of stopping, Fleming allegedly continued driving north on Route 7, prompting troopers to discontinue their pursuit.
Further investigation revealed Fleming’s Vermont driver’s license was criminally suspended at the time of the incident.
Troopers located Fleming on April 29 and cited him to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on June 16 at 12:30 p.m.
Fleming faces charges of eluding a police officer and driving with a suspended license.
