Westminster man arrested on assault warrants

WESTMINSTER — A 32-year-old Westminster man was arrested Thursday afternoon on multiple assault warrants following a coordinated effort by local law enforcement agencies.

Thomas Williams was taken into custody at approximately 4:10 p.m. at 1197 Westminster West Rd.

Williams had two outstanding warrants issued by Brattleboro Police Department and the Department of Corrections for charges of aggravated domestic assault and aggravated assault.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks were requested by Brattleboro PD to assist in the arrest.

The apprehension was completed without incident through combined efforts of Brattleboro Police, Windham County Sheriff’s Office, and Vermont State Police.

Williams is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on March 7 to answer to the charges.
