Police arrest Whitingham woman on warrant during traffic stop

DUMMERSTON — Troopers with Vermont State Police arrested a Whitingham woman on an active warrant following a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

The stop occurred at 9:04 a.m. on Upper Dummerston Road after officers observed a motor vehicle violation.

During the investigation, troopers identified one of the occupants as 46-year-old Sarah Galaske and determined she had an active in-state warrant.

The warrant included charges of burglary, unlawful trespass into a motor vehicle (two counts), petit larceny (three counts), and vehicle operation with a suspended license.

Galaske was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division to face the charges.
